Lately I'm following Gary Vaynerchuck's writings and videos. I really loved the video (embedded), where he talks of why speed is important (to get ahead). He makes an important point that most people are slow at micro things (i.e slow on day to day execution) but are fast on macro things (i.e expect big things to happen in a short time) and advises that it should be opposite - we should be executing with maximum speed day-by-day and be patient for macro things to unveil.
